Guided Notes

  • Connected Mini-ma is mostly just short clear sentences placed next to each other.
  • Do not try to translate every English habit directly.
  • Repeat the core patterns until they feel automatic.
  • pero is simple “but”; tamen is stronger and means “even so, nevertheless”.
  • ma-ale and meno-ale are superlative compounds, not endings added to adjectives.

Practice

  1. Translate into Mini-ma: “My friend is in the city.”
  2. Translate into Mini-ma: “I want the children to study.”
  3. Translate into English: veta e mala, pero mi i kan go
  4. Write a 2-sentence self-introduction in Mini-ma.
  5. Translate into Mini-ma: “This is the best coffee in that city.”
  6. Translate into English: di a meno-ale bari kaja
